...of the soft and cozy Retro interior.
Our interior is the first to stand out. Down town, in a skewed old house with the beams showing under the ceiling, we have arranged ourselves with sofas as soft as the ones your granny used to have. The result is an extraordinary cozy cave atmosphere. Perfect for long talks over a steaming cop of coffee.
...the 3rd world enjoys the profit.
In Cafe Retro we don't enjoy the profit ourselves. The 3rd world does. We send all our profit to the poor and needy in India and Africa. We call it non-profit. Here you can see who we support.
...of a relaxed and home-like volunteer culture.
The significant reason that allows us to send money to the 3rd world, is the fact that almost all the work in the cafe is done by volunteers. The culture of volunterring makes Cafe Retro one of the most relaxing and home-like cafes in Copenhagen. You can become a voluntary worker too.
...we are a platform for art, culture and debate.
In Cafe Retro we want to support upcoming musicians and artists. In order to do that, we make the cafe available for those who want to do a gig with their band or solo, exhibit their art, read poems, arrange debates ect. If you want to do any of this, please look here for further details.
